A deposit of $ 25.00 per set will be required & shall be made out to West Seneca Central School District.

The Board of Education of the West Seneca Central School District hereby invites the
submission of sealed bids for the 2018-19 Capital Outlay Project at West Senior High School.
Sealed bids will be received until 2:00 pm on Wednesday, April 3, 2019 at the District Clerk’s
Office (Rm 222), located at 675 Potters Road, at which time they will be publicly opened and
read aloud.
All work shall be done in accordance with drawings and specifications prepared by Young +
Wright Architectural; 50 Elk Street, Suite 200, Buffalo, NY 14210 dated March 14, 2019. All
bidders shall be expected to keep bid prices firm for 45 days from date of bid opening, during
which time the Owner will be able to make award therein.
Plans and specifications are available to prime contractors beginning at 2:00 pm on Thursday,
March 14, 2019 by contacting The Copy Store at (716) 847-6400 or visiting their online plan
room at www.buffalocopyplanroom.com . A deposit of $ 25.00 per set will be required & shall
be made out to West Seneca Central School District. If you should have any questions, please

Pre-bid site conferences will be held to discuss the scope of the Capital Outlay Project and will
start at the West Senior High School located at 3330 Seneca Street, Buffalo NY, 14224 on
March 22, 2019 at 2:00pm. Any interested bidder who cannot make it to this conference, or
who may wish to make additional site visits, should contact the District’s Director of Facilities,
Joe Farr, at 716-677-3684 to make the appropriate arrangements.
The deposit will be refunded to all Prime Contractor Bidders returning the drawings and
specifications in good, unmarked condition within thirty (30) days after the bid award. Prime
contractors who are non bidders returning complete sets in good, unmarked condition with the
above time limit will be refunded also. No part of the deposit will be refunded for partial and/or
damaged sets of the drawings and specifications.
BIDS SHOULD BE SEALED IN AN ENVELOPE, PLAINLY MARKED WITH BID NUMBER
NEAR THE LEFTHAND, BOTTOM CORNER OF THE ENVELOPE. Bids will be received up to
the scheduled time of opening, but no later than the date and specific time designated.
The bids will be made as specified by the architect in the Information for Bidders and shall
include a certified check or a Bid Bond in an amount of not less than 5% of the Base Bid. The
Bid Bond will state that the Bidder will enter into the Contract if awarded by the Owner and
execute further security for the faithful performance of the Contract as required by the Owner.
Bidders will note the required conditions of employment and the minimum New York State Labor
Department prevailing wage rates to be paid under the contract. The Board of Education
reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to advertise a new bid, and to award a contract for
the whole or such portion of the work as it determines to be in the best interest of the District.
